Manager, James Jepson has a message for the supporters of Eastwood CFC

Working for the club for 6 days now I have been pleasantly surprised by the staff here who all work tirelessly for the club, the supporters who have given me messages of support on social media and in person too. This proves that this club means something to everyone involved and the local community. That drive and ambition need to be mirrored on the playing side now from our juniors right up to the first team to create a ‘One Club’ ethos.

As stated in my media interview on Sunday, myself and my staff were very impressed with the players last Saturday and also in training this week. We have some excellent young footballers at this football club and I will give them the opportunity to play, learn and enjoy playing for Eastwood CFC should they buy into what we want and have the required discipline to achieve our long term goals.

I have had a number of players approach me about joining me here but at this stage I am only going to bring in players that me and my staff feel can benefit our talented youngsters. This will create a healthy mix of hungry talented youngsters who will have received valuable playing time for the remainder of this season and can boost the chances of our long term plan next season.

Carl Westcarr - Striker- who was a youngster at Nottingham Forest and played in the conference with Hucknall Town, Alfreton Town joins us. Carl has played at this level for a number of years and has won the league 3 times with various clubs. He will help the strikers at the club whilst gaining minutes and fitness after coming back from a hamstring injury that has kept him out for most of this season. Carl will also provide a different quality to the other strikers at the club and scored goals at this level for years.

Will Heath - Midfielder- Will joins from Stapleford Town who are flying high at the top of the NSL. Will played professionally in America and again knows this level very well. He is a technical player who will provide us with calmness on the ball and again has the experience to help our young players.

Joe Harrison - Midfielder- Joe joins from Kimberley MW. Having trained with us in the week we believe he has the ability to hurt teams going forward with his pace and power.

Kieran Harrison- Defender/Midfielder- Kieron has joined the club from Dunkirk FC. Only last year he was a professional at Mansfield Town. He has all the attributes to progress back up to that level. Kieran is good on the ball and in the air who chips in with goals at set pieces.

To our fans, I am always approachable and ask you to support the lads as much as you can. Rome wasn’t built in a day but we want to progress this football club with everyone playing their part.
