Sunday

Eastwood CFC ‘Barca’ U8 kept there 100% win record this season beating a very good St Anns team 6-1 away from home. Aidan Eatherington opened the scoring with a mazy run from the back assisted by the lively Rio Salazar. Alfie Lilley slotted in the 2nd after a very well worked team goal. Gui went through 1 on 1 and scored a rabonna to make it 3-0. Alfie Adams-Elliot was excellent in goal with some brilliant distribution throughout between himself and the solid Kenzie Taylor. Alfie Lilley notched a 2nd and Aidan also completed his brace. Kamai 'bam bam' Kenton finished off a great team performance scoring the 6th.

ECFC U10's Gold played at home against Sandiacre Saints, the first half saw a few chances for both sides. Eastwood missing a handful and Sandiacre finding their chances saved by Mr safe hands Ollie Sadler in the Eastwood net. ECFC took the lead when Kai Newman's corner slipped through the keeper's fingers and into the net. Sandiacre scored a well worked goal just before half time. Eastwood stepped it up in the second with two quick goals from kick off. ben Bartram latching onto a loose ball on the half way line and pumped it high towards the Sandiacre goal and into the top corner. from the restart Eastwood won the ball back quickly and Kai Newman unleashed a long range shot which flew past the keeper into the bottom corner, catching everyone by surprise. Eastwood scored three more goals, Kai Newman completing his hat-trick with a superb control on his chest, turn and volley, George Thomas got Eastwood's 6th goal before a tap in from Jake Oakland after a cross by Brooklyn Woodhouse. Eastwood winning 7-3 after two quick late goals from Sandiacre. Parent's Player was Ben Bartram and Manager's Player was Daniel Bailey.

Eastwood U10 Reds Cup game against Ravenshead Reds was a game we went out of the cup last season losing 7-3. The lads turned up today, with a very tight first half, seeing us go 1 behind, and with Owen Robertson scoring a great free kick from a good 20 yards out to take us into half time at 1-1. The second half was full of action with both goal keepers having to save penalties, and with a further few Match winning saves from Charlie Street in the Eastwood goal. Ravenshead went ahead again but goals from Arian Keikhael Dehdezi, and Dylan Garton late on saw a great victory in the cup for the Eastwood U10’s Red team. Man of the match went to Dylan Garton for his energy throughout the game, and his match winning goal.

Bulwell Forest 2 – 4 ECFC u11's

Into the cup for Eastwood's under 11's this weekend. This match was always going to be a physical test for us against a big strong Bulwell team. The pitch was poor which the lads had to manage given we've played on 3G for the last few games. And after a scrappy start, it didn't take long for the drama to kick in. Bulwell'ss big centre forward latching onto a neat through ball and bursting past our back line to slot past a helplwess Jaxon Barr in Eastwood's goal. But Eastwood soon got into the match with a good response. Great corner from Harley Bates found Alex Srama at the back post who nodded on for Sam Marriott to turn and slot past their keeper to make it 1-1. Eastwood then got their noses in front with Harley Bates firing past the helpless Bulwell keeper after he spilled a low shot from Luca Davis Olivero. Bulwell soon drew level to make it 2-2 from a well worked corner, reacting first to a sloppy clearance and firing into the net. HT 2-2. Second half Eastwood stepped it up a gear and it didn't take them long to get in front again from a lovely free kick from Harvey Gotheridge which was flicked on by Ben Staniforth into the path of the on form Owen Ashton to fire home from close range. But Eastwood left the best goal of the game to last. Captain Luca Davis Olivero's superb defence splitting pass into the onrushing Owen Ashton to hammer home his second of the game from 20 yards. Full time 2-4. Special mention to Mat Rose today for what was a massive individual performance, at the heart of everything Eastwood did. Eastwood u11's through to the quarter final which will be played on Sun 28th January. Next Sunday 21st Jan Eastwood entertain a strong Market Warsop team at home kick off 10am. Please come down to support.

Eastwood CFC U13’s red kicked off the new season today with a well earned and extremely hard fought draw. With 2 outfield players, Charlie first and then Alfie filling in for our usual goalkeeper we were perhaps at a disadvantage straight away, but the defensive 3 of Ben, Dylan (who put in a real captains performance today) and Jack/Charlie 2nd half, protected both the keepers, and along with a midfield of Ewan, Connor R, Destine, Alfie, (first half) and Brad they kept the opposition from scoring. (They only managed to score when Dylan was down injured!) Brad did a stunning job of man marking their most dangerous player! Kasper and Connor E, teamed up perfectly in attack and were a constant threat the other end, some fantastic saves from the opposition goalie denied Kasper a hat trick! It was a nerve wracking end to end game with a well deserved point for us. MoM went to Charlie and Alfie for stepping in and playing in goal for us but it was a whole team performance and each and every lad could have got the honours!
