We’re back on our travels this weekend as we face Peterborough based Deeping Rangers hoping to end a eight game winless run away from home.

If the Red Badgers fail to win this weekend they’ll equal the club’s longest winless away run of nine matches without a victory set by Paul Rockley earlier this year. You couldn’t of picked a harder place to do it Rangers are unbeaten in their last eight and haven’t lost at home since August. Eastwood’ record against this weekend’s host’s isn’t one to be desired, no wins in four matches one of only three sides Eastwood have played more than three times and have not beaten.

Saturday’s opponents sit 12th in the league table having won as many games as they have lost, all but one of their victories coming on home soil, that win coming in the reverse fixture with ourselves, in a 4-0 defeat at the Holbrooke Stadium ending Paul Rockley’s ten month tenure in charge. In the last week Deeping have progressed in the League & County Cup alongside making in eight straight wins at home beating Oadby Town 3-2 four days ago.

Eastwood will take positives from the defeat at the hands of Quorn, the first time we have scored three goals in a league game since August and Jack Thatcher with another brace taking his goal tally to seven for the season. Only Heather St John’s and AFC Mansfield have picked up less points on the road this season something the Eastwood boss will be wanting to rectify on Saturday.
