A stunning free kick from Zac Anderson proved to be the winner as Simon Bryant's Eastwood CFC Under 18's made it three wins from four as they again came from behind to beat a strong Long Eaton United side at The PSUSA 3G Arena on Friday evening.

Long Eaton dominated the early stages and deservedly went two goals ahead before Zac Anderson was fouled inside the box and confidently stepped up to put away the resulting penalty just before the break.

The second half saw a change of shape with Oliver Waite equalising on 60 minutes after some excellent build-up play.

Ten minutes before time Anderson grabbed his second of the night with a perfectly struck free kick from 20 yards to complete the comeback.

Speaking after the game, Bryant was full of admiration for his young team.
"We began the game brightly but recognised that we needed to change the formation in order to stop Long Eaton playing through our midfield".

"Second half we were more compact and earned the right to play".
"We have such good quality within the group and will always create chances but we need to defend better in units".

"Based on how hard the players worked and the character they showed, I thought we thoroughly deserved to win the game".

Next up for our youth team is a visit to Basford United on Friday 25th January.
