Paul Macfarland knew coming into this game that it would be one of Eastwood's toughest challenges of the pre-season, and that proved to be the case.
Elliott Pitt fired a spectacular free-kick into the top corner to give the home side a shock lead, a lead that was cancelled out by Scott Henshaw just before the half time whistle.
Worksop pushed on in the second half and began to assert their dominance with an early goal from Kyle Jordan, soon after Mitch Husbands gave the visitors breathing room with their third.
The Tigers had been the better team throughout and Shaq Mckenzie confirmed their quality, adding a fourth to put the game to bed.
Eastwood were immediately under the cosh as Worksop started the game with a bang, it took them just one minute to make their intentions known with the first shot of the game. Whilst it may have been off target, alarm bells were ringing for Eastwood right from the start.
Worksop won the first corner of the game minutes later but failed to make the most of it, however they were really starting to look the part.
There was a dry spell for twenty minutes that saw Worksop taking care in possession and probing for a way through, but Eastwood got their first chance when Tim Adcock's deflected shot flew out for a corner.
Surprisingly, it was the hosts that found a way to open the scoring. The referee awarded Eastwood a free-kick a good way out from goal, fans were excited to see new boy Elliott Pitt at left back and he was happy to step up to take the set piece. He whipped a fierce left-footed effort into the top left hand corner, leaving the Worksop keeper with no chance.
Eastwood fans may have been speculating over a shock win and could have been afforded such thoughts had they taken the lead into half time, however Worksop had their own idea. Wood lost focus from a corner and allowed Jake Scott to head the ball across goal for Ross Henshaw to knock in the equaliser. 1-1 HT
