Eastwood travelled to Blidworth and gave first team debuts to youngsters Owen Everton and Kallum O'Dowd.

In the opening minutes of the game the home side started positively and dominated procession especially in the centre of the park. After being on the back foot Eastwood switched to a 3-5-2 formation and instantly enjoyed more procession and began to ask more questions of the home defence with Rory and Jack Smith linking well.

Jack Smith thought he had given Eastwood the lead on the half hour but after rounding the keeper his effort from a tight angle struck the post with Rory Smith unable to get to the rebound. Eastwood took the lead 2 minutes later with Rory Smith showing composure clear through on goal side footing home. Blidworth forced the next clear chance but keeper Walker produced a fine blocking save on 35 minutes.

HT Blidworth 0-1 ECFC

At the start of the second half Eastwood created several goal scoring opportunities but were wasteful in front of goal. Blidworth always carried a threat going forward and Eastwood had to defend in numbers as the home side went in search of an equaliser.
Blidworth got their goal on 67 minutes when Williams strike from outside the area deceived Walker skidding of the wet surface.

The game now was very open with both sides going for the win. Jack James had his half volley well saved by the home keeper while Jack Smith thunderous drive struck the upright. At the other end Walker had to dive full length to tip round the post another good strike from distance.

Eastwood regained the lead on 77 minutes when Rory Smith converted at the far post after good build up play and cross from the left flank. Eastwood could only hold the lead for 5 minutes when Graney nodded home from inside the area from a deep cross from the right wing.

In the final minutes of the game both sides didn't sit back for the draw and went for all 3 points both forcing half chances to end an entertaining game.
