Eastwood were forced into changes to their back four with Greg Conn and Aaron Short unavailable. Kane Mathews was recalled to the starting eleven along with Danny Tring who both impressed.

Effectively the game was won in a 6 minute spell in the first half in which Eastwood scored 3 goals without reply. Jack Smith opened the scoring on 19 minutes with a thunderous drive from 25 yards into the top corner of the net. Paddy Webb doubled Eastwood lead on 21 minutes when collecting a fine through ball by Rory Smith cutting inside his marker and calmly finished inside the area. Webb added his second and Eastwood's third a minute later again latching onto a through ball this time by Chay Betteridge but the young striker still had plenty to do showing great strength holding off challenges before applying a good finish with angled shot into the far corner.

Half-Time 3-0

Although Eastwood's performance never really reached the heights of the first half they were happy to just keep possession and break on the visitors on when the opportunity arose. Eastwood were awarded a penalty for handball on 55 minutes but Jack Smith blazed his spot kick high and wide. Pinxton's cause wasn't helped 10 minutes later when they were reduced to 10 men for an over the top tackle.
Eastwood added a fourth on 70 minutes when Chay Betteridge finished off a fine move down the right wing involving Jack Smith, Rory Smith and Jamie Thomas with a neat finish from inside the area. On 83 minutes Eastwood were awarded another penalty for a foul on Jack Smith but Smith missed the target for the second time.
