ECFC 0-6 Carlton Town

Eastwood welcomed Evo-Stik South side Carlton Town to PSUSA 3G Arena in hopes of progressing to the Quarter-Final of the Notts Senior Cup for the first time.

Eastwood Town of course were Carlton's menesis in the Notts Senior Cup with the badgers beating the Millers six times in nine seasons, including the 2010/11 final.

And the home side briefly threatened to do so again in the early stages of the game when they twice went close through top goal scorer Patrick Webb drawing a fine save from Jack Steggles and the hitting the woodwork.

Carlton gradually got to grips with their opponents and started to move the ball well on the artificial surface.

Eastwood started well but ultimately Carlton had too much quality for Eastwood to contain. Carlton play three levels above Eastwood and the difference certainly showed in the latter stages of the game.
