ECFC 7-0 Ollerton Town

It's safe to say that Eastwood certainly benefitted from starting pre-season training a bit earlier this year. Despite Ollerton not being to their full strength Eastwood still put on a show passing and moving the ball with confidence Dave Winter's Ollerton side were put to the sword in the second half as a lack of fitness and a lack of quality were evident as Eastwood added another six goals to their third minute opener.

Paddy Webb fired Eastwood ahead early on with a low shot from the edge of the area. For the rest of the period, Ollerton started to grow into proceedings but were struggling to test the Jack Walker in the Eastwood goal with Chris Hewitt isolated up front against the physical Eastwood centre halves.

On 52 minutes Eastwood doubled their lead, Jack Smith heading home at the far post from Jamie Thomas' cross and five minutes later, Jamie Thomas got himself on the score sheet.

Danny Hayes made it 4-0 on 61 minutes and it was 5-0 on seventy minutes, Jack Smith getting his second. Paddy Webb secured his brace with fifteen minutes to go before Rory Smith completed the scoring on 89 minutes.

Eastwood CFC 3-5-2 formation worked really well, this is something new boss Dave Marlow is a big fan of, all 16 players used looked fit and strong after already having a month of pre-season training.
