Borrowash Victoria 0-2 Eastwood CFC

With Eastwood missing the likes of; Jack Walker, Rory Smith, Jack James, Patrick Webb, Reuben Mitchell and Chay Bettridge. Dave Marlow was forced into making four changes, Jake Pearson made his first appearance of the season in goal, Kenny came into central midfield, Jack Allen made his fourth start and Aaron Short returned to the starting eleven.

Eastwood flew out of the blocks Kieran Knight racing through but blazed over from just inside the area. Jack Allen was then denied from close range as Eastwood continued to serge forward. A Sam Meakin corner first found the head of Jack Allen which was saved before the following corner was met by Connor Wrenn who couldn't keep his effort down.

Half an hour played Eastwood could of been five goals ahead, but good goalkeeping by the Vics keeper kept the score goalless. The Red Badgers did break the deadlock on thirty-four minutes Sam Meakin's free kick from the left hand side was whipped in and met by the head of the returning Aaron Short to put Eastwood ahead.

On fifty-five minutes Kieran Knight drove in to the box before pulling it back for Jack Allen to tap home to double Eastwood's lead. Eastwood continued to dominate without carving any real chances, substitutes Harry Allen and Tom Coupe both had chances but the home keeper was on hand once again.

A dominant display by Eastwood, to the outsiders just looking at the score, people might think Eastwood struggled but the score certainly flattered Borrowash, an excellent win for Eastwood and a terrific week for the boys in red.
