Red Badgers lose out to their neighbours and an over enthusiastic Referee.

An evenly fought contest between 2 near neighbours came to a climax mid-way through the second half when visiting Skipper Holmes was shown a straight red card after a tackle in midfield. Opinion was somewhat divided on the decision as Holmes clearly won the ball before making contact with the player. Handbags followed between both sets of players and, after consultation with his assistants, Eastwood's sub Striker Sam Moore was also dismissed. It was an amazing decision by the Referee, one that only he can answer to.

The home side took the lead after 40 minutes when Zak Goodson found just enough room in the box to swivel and score with a thunderous volley. The visitors had more than a fair share of possession and goal chances and were unlucky to find themselves in arrears. Two late goals from Ollie Brown-Hill on 87 and Alex Render a minute from time produced a flattering scoreline for the Robins.

"We played really well and should have gone in leading at half time but we didn’t.”
“Talking point is always going to be the red cards, Jared’s tackle was fantastic and I am lost for words, the linesman got involved and got Sam Moore sent off and ‘Mooresy’ wasn’t even involved.”
“So I told the linesman if he is going to get involved make sure you get it right and following that I then got a red card, I did ask to speak to the ref before this incident and he refused.”
