Red Badgers win on the road to climb to joint 2nd in the table.

A great leap and header from David Leak opened the scoring with twenty minutes on the clock. Barrow equalised mid way through the second period, but the Red Badgers didn’t lie down and restored their lead through Sam Moore less than ninety seconds later.

The Gaffer has this to say on last nights win.....
“ First half I thought we was excellent, really good, the midfield dominated the ball and Our full backs pushed on and attacked well.”

“ Fantastic pressure and skill by Blair (Anderson) to win the foul, Great ball by Cal (McGarry) and Leaky (Leak) makes his run across his man with a brilliant header.”

“ Second half was not how we wanted to play and at times frustrating but after not winning away in midweek for so long it was a relief for everyone that we got the 3 points.”

“ The lads are really together and it shows that they are prepared to dig in for each other when Barrow equalised and responded.”

“ Knighty (Knight) gave us everything and he’s not even 50% fit with a pull and he put in another shift for the club, he’s 20 years of age and I don’t care what people say about the level we are at or expectations of our club he is learning the game and is getting better and better, we all love him and he gave a captains performance tonight.”

“ Mooresy (Sam Moore) got across his man from another brilliant set piece by Joey (Harrison) and i was delighted he got the winner against his old club, he is really good for the dressing room, well liked and has really improved us.”

“ We will patch the injured lads up and look forward to the local derby on Saturday against Hucknall, Rivalry aside Hucknall and Eastwood is a big local attraction and are two good clubs with good people.”
