The club are delighted to announce the signing of striker Kieren Watson from Hallam FC.
Watson scored thirty-five goals last season for Northern Counties East side Hallam FC helping them to a third-place finish in Division 1.
When asked about how the move happened, Watson said:
"I played with Jeppo a few years back at Hucknall when they were in the Evo-Stik and we’ve remained good friends ever since.
"We’ve spoken about playing for him at a couple of other clubs he’s managed but distance wise it’s never really worked out. Now he’s at Eastwood CFC and we can get a full pre-season under the belt it feels like the perfect fit."
Watson on Eastwood CFC:
"From what I've seen so far I’m massively impressed. I was shown round the ground and facilities the other day and it looks great. I can’t wait to get started".
When asked about his aims for next season, Watson said:
"Hopefully with 4 teams going up, you’d want promotion as a minimum".
"I’ve not seen much of this league so it's difficult to say but I hear there are some good players at Eastwood so fingers crossed we could push to win it."
