Saturday Eastwood look to build on their FA Vase momentum when they take on Clifton All Whites.

Eastwood return to league action this weekend as they welcome Clifton All Whites to the PSUSA 3G Arena. Eastwood will certainly be confident going in to the game after a brilliant performance last week to progress in to the next round of the FA Vase.

Saturday will be the first meeting between Eastwood and Clifton since Clifton inflicted Eastwood’s record heaviest defeat back in November 2014, 8-0 down at half time Eastwood ended loosing the game 10-0 on a wet and windy day at the Norman Archer Memorial Ground.

Four years on Clifton sit one place above Eastwood in the table level on points having played a game more. Despite winning their opening two games Clifton are now winless in their last six. The Nottinghamshire side lead Belper United 3-0 at half time in the FA Vase on Saturday before a Belper comeback saw the game finish 4-4 Belper later went on to knock out Clifton in the replay on Tuesday night.

Daryll Thomas will be the man to watch for Clifton, he's already notched up nine goals in seven appearances this season and boasts the likes of Nottingham Forest, Cheserfield, Matlock Town, Belper Town and Loughborough Dynamo as his former clubs. The experinced Thomas who has just turned thirty-two scored against Eastwood last year for Dunkirk in the FA Vase, just one of his twenty goals that helper Dunkirk become EMCL Champions last campaign.

Squad update; Jack James starts his three game suspension so will miss Saturday's game.
