A quick look at a few of the other local teams joining Eastwood CFC in the Second Round of the FA Vase.

A reward for ten man Hucknall Town after Black County Rangers is an away trip to step five Sporting Khalsa. Hucknall are third in CMFL winning five of their opening six matches and are unbeaten in eleven in total for the season. Sporting Khalsa have also impressed so far this season winning thirteen games already and loosing just twice, the CKW Stadium certainly wont be an easy place to go Khalsa have lost just one of their last fifthteen matches at home.

Ilkeston Town make the journey to fellow MFL side Wolverhampton Sporting Comunity.
Having reached the fourth round last year the game will be the Birmingham sides first in the competition this season and I'm sure it'll be a welcome break from the league where Wolverhampton currently sit second from bottom. However Community did end a run of nine games without a win last time out when they beat Long Eaton United 2-1. Ilkeston on the other hand are top of the league and still competing on four fronts; the league, FA Vase, League Cup and County Cup. Town have already been to Wolverhampton in the league this season and returned with 4-2 win Tim Hopkinson with a sixty-four minute hattrick and a Lavelle White strike sealing all three points.

Blidworth Welfare make the thirty mile trip to Shepshed Dynamo who also ply their trade in the Midland Football League. The win at Aylestone Park in the last round was Blidworth's eighth straight win a run they would love to keep going if they have any ambition's of been promoted out of Central Midlands this season. After a poor start that saw Shepshed winless in their first five games they have now turned their fortunes around now currently unbeaten in their last eight games.

All ties to be played on Saturday 3rd November 2018
