Eastwood will look to build on their huge win against Pinxton on Tuesday night, when they travel to Aslockton on Saturday afternoon.

Tuesday night's win closed the gap at the top to just six points off Sherwood and Eastwood will be keen to halve that deficit with a win against an Aslockton side that have only won once in their last fifteen matches.

Eastwood are in fantastic form at the moment, after a brilliant performance and win against Pinxton on Tuesday night Eastwood extended their winning run to thirteen games in the league and have only tasted defeat once in their last twenty-one league games (winning twenty). Eastwood have also tighten up at the back keeping five clean sheets out of their last nine.

Aslockton are currently twelve places and fourty-nine points below Eastwood in the table, so on paper it looks like a routine victory however Aslockton have come close in the last couple of months against the likes of Hucknall Town and Sherwood Colliery.

The Opposition:

Aslockton started the CMFL season well winning two of their opening six fixtures which included putting nine past Teversal Reserves. After a few defeats Aslockton then beat AFC Kilburn and got a draw with Blidworth Welfare before going on a run of eleven straight defeats. Aslockton got back to winning ways picking up three points away at Linby Colliery just a couple of weeks ago, however Aslockton haven't won at home since November.

Last Time We Met:

The sides last me back in Januray, Eastwood coming away comfortable winners defeating Aslockton 6-0. A first half Kieran Knight brace got Eastwood underway before goals from Rory Smith, Joe Butler, Rian Charles and an excellent Callum McGarry free-kick completed the rout. The game will be the second meeting of the sides and Eastwood's first visit to Spa Lane.

Player Watch:

Josh Ausman - Ausman has bagged four-teen goals this season in nine-teen starts and has scored four goals in his last five games, including goals against Hucknall Town and Sherwood Colliery.
