Eastwood travelled to West Bridgford in good form and full of confidence after recent results but were comfortably defeated by the home side.

Bridgford adapted far better to the conditions than Eastwood and thoroughly deserved their first three points of the season. Eastwood made two changes from Saturday's Vase victory. Tom Coupe and Reuben Mitchell replaced the unavailable Danny Hayes and Sam Meakin.

Eastwood took the lead on six minutes when Kieran Knight was put through on goal and finished with aplomb. Eastwood looked comfortable in the opening minutes but on 15 minutes conceded a poor penalty which was converted for Bridgford. From this point the home side looked far more comfortable and dominated Eastwood for the rest of the half. Eastwood really struggled to gain any sort of possession and were second to any second ball play. Eastwood were also very wasteful from any set plays while the home side enjoyed far more possession and always posed a threat going forward.

Half-Time 1-1

Eastwood were looking for a reaction in the second half but it was the home side who took the lead on 55 minutes when Eastwood were caught in possession in defence and Bridgford capitalised to score. Again as the first half went Eastwood struggled to get any sort of momentum in any of their play and the home side secured a deserved 3 points on the night adding a 3rd goal on 75 minutes.
