Joint Reserve manager Charlie Edwards reflects back on a great start for the Reserves and looks ahead to a huge game tomorrow afternoon.

How do you feel the Reserves have started the season?

"Undeniably we have started very well. Unbeaten in 10 and only dropping 2 points from the maximum available. The games however haven't been easy and there has been a real test of character at times with some pleasing results. Every team in the league want to beat us and will without question face us wanting to prove a point, this makes games very difficult for us and we have seen this at times. It's important that we continue to play our game in our way and ensure our mentality is in the right place and we are equipped and prepared for scrappy and difficult to break down teams."

"It's very important to recognise no team can win leagues, cups and progress with 11 men. It's very easy to focus on the first names on the team sheet but you have to have the infrastructure for the 'What ifs'. We are looking to strengthen our squad and all of our players realise that there will be competition for positions but positive competition. Each and every player has a key role to play in our team, and at some time during this season they will contribute to our final outcome.

What are your thoughts on Saturday's huge game against Wirksworth Town?

"Saturday will be our biggest test to date. Wirksworth can win games and they'll be there at the end of the season. Each game we say this will be our biggest test, but taking a team away 3rd place at this time of the year, it's going to be a very tough game. I have no doubt that we can come away with 3 points, there will be new additions within the squad and we'll see how the game shapes up. We are going into the game after a confident mid week win against local rivals Linby and have been working hard on areas of development for the team and the integration of those players."
