Toton Tigers 0-5 ECFC Black U10

I set the team up and asked for disciplined shape and maximum work rate to get behind the ball when not in possession to which the lads did well. We saw some good combination play & strength in play to probe away at Toton's goal. Toton weren't bad on the counter and had two great chances to score but Alfie saved well. ECFC pushed on and deservedly scored when a good through ball from Reuben found Owen & his power brushing players aside was impressive as he forced a save and Thomas was on hand to prod home. Our defence and midfield was doing well creating chances HT 0-1

Second half after a chat & the boys agreeing we upped our speed and passing of the ball to create serious problems for Toton we pounded forward with attacks but the Toton keeper pulled off some excellent saves. We were looking good all over the pitch but our back line was required to stay alert and on the front foot. Finally the goals started to come through some great movement & passing plus great finishing through good determination by our boys, but overall this was a very good team performance.

We must remember though if a pass is on play it to the player in a better position and we will take our game to the next level.
