A very close entertaining game, very end to end. Both teams a credit to their respective clubs.

Well where do I start..... In a game unto which we had more chances spent more time on the attack in the oppositions half we came away empty handed which was very hard for the team to take. 1st half Gedling had 2 chances and scored 2 goals, 1 from a miss clearance and another from not picking up an unmarked attacker who had a free run. We on the other hand had numerous opportunities missing two open nets ?, but Taylor did glance in a great header from one of our many corners and then we continued to probe away at them with good team play & Owen was clean through on goal only to be pulled up for using his strength - shocking.

HT 1-2

Second half we came out pretty much the same, pressurising, dominating in spells and then from another corner Owen looped in a header to even the scores which was much deserved. As a team we upped the tempo pinning GSBA back then Owen picked up the ball and smashed home a left foot into the net to lead 3-2, this was coming and the boys were playing great all over the pitch.

5 minutes later due to us being caught out at the back positionally GSB had a simple tap in to make it 3-3.

So what did we do we went for it and chance after chance was cleared we put crosses in, shots in but then we over committed players forward leaving us short at the back and then in the most controversial circumstances, as Taylor went to clear, a GSBA attacker who had been a handful pushed Taylor in the back stopping him from clearing and collected the ball to force a save from Alfie who had done well & then the striker tapped home the rebound.

How the Ref had missed this was beyond words, even the Refs Dad admitted it was a bad foul & ultimately had cost us the game.

It could of been an advert for.....
He should of gone to Specsavers.

The Ref made poor decisions, a parent from GSBA was showing poor behaviour but as it was Respect weekend I bit my tongue, but nearly bit it
off with the decisions he had made today.

Either way, unlucky lads we tried hard but must find a way to batter the door down with the chances we had when a team barracked it shut.

We made 3 errors & unfortunately got punished for all of them.

Fine margins, but overall I was pleased with most of your great attitudes for the team.
