The last 4 days has seen the Pro:Direct Nottingham 2019 new recruits take part in a Premier League Tournament at St. George's Park, testing the new VAR system.

The boys stayed over from Sunday - Wednesday and played in 7 games of football across the 3 day tournament at the home of football, St. George's Park.

The tournament sadly came to an end yesterday (Wednesday) after a 2nd-Leg Semi Final defeat to Complete Academy, which saw our boys unable to get through to the final of the Premier League Plate.

Manager, David Lilley & Coach, Chris Thompson, were "proud" of the boys after they competed against a range of strong sides, some three years older than them. It was a great experience for the lads, with many more to come...

We managed to get a glimpse of what it's like to be a professional footballer on a day-to-day basis, with full cooked breakfasts & meals provided to the lads throughout the three-days, games officiated by Premier League & EFL officials, and VAR in full use.

It was a great experience for the lads.
