Eastwood travelled to West Bridgford to play the Crusaders who had won all 3 of their league games.

Eastwood started the game in a positive mood and were straight out the blocks with a wave of attacks and numerous chances including a free kick from Suarez which went wide. Suarez though came with the intent of causing the Bridgford defence all sorts of problems and it was from one of his runs into the box that resulted in him being hacked down and a penalty award, which he promptly put away nicely. Bridgford though did put us under pressure, winning a few corners, which Doddsy and the defence dealt with quite well. Ethan carried on his good form from training putting in a fantastic display. Eastwood were quick on the break with Brandon and Will on the wings putting in great shifts. Cameron attacking from the middle and with his tenacious battling gave the Bridgford players something to think about. Lewis again holding well in the centre, playing some great balls out to the wings and to the forwards. Craig with his trickery was running then ragged once again. Eastwood second goal came from one of our many corners, when the ball was cleared by the defence only to land at the foot of Lewis who lofted it straight back high into the box and into the net after the keeper failed to catch it. Eastwood could of made it 3-0 again from a corner which was swung in from Craig and Jack flew in with a header which hit the bar and went over.

Eastwood 2-0 at half time and spirits were high.

The second half saw more attacking by both sides and at times they had 4 players running straight through our middle, but our defence held firm with Jack and Ethan, Nathan also dropping back to help out and Jaydan pulling off great saves and diving at the ball at players feet as they tried to get their shots in. One particular save sticks in mind, when the shot came in and Jaydan dived to his left side and finger tipped it round the post, amazing. Suarez scored Eastwood's third goal with a great finish, closely followed by his hat trick goal. Brandon had a shot which came back off the post. Callum finished off the scoring when he went through with only the keeper to beat and he put his shot in low past the keeper to make it 5-0 to Eastwood.

A fantastic performance from every single player. Parent's Player went to Ethan and the Manager's Player went to Will "Suarez

Well done boys, so proud of you all
