Eastwood welcomed Keyworth United to the Play Soccer Arena today hoping to keep up their good form and confidence from their win last weekend.

Eastwood started brightly and attacked well with Craig and Nathan having some early chances but couldn't quite find the target. Eastwood were their own downfall in the early stages of the game and when keyworth had an attack which led to a through ball being picked up outside his own box by Jaydan, gifting them an early free kick which they fired past him in goal. After this shakey start though Eastwood attacked at ever opportunity with Suarez weaving his magic down the left wing And Brandon doing the same on the right and it was from Brandon and Craig linking up well that led to Eastwood's equaliser, when Bradon played the ball into Craig's feet, he turned his marker well and played Nathan through and Nay did the rest, slotting it past the keeper. This seemed to lift Eastwood and we piled on the pressure, the midfield of Liam and Lewis working hard and Craig coming back helping and passing the ball well between them. Brandon who had a fantastic half, topped off with a great goal, after Craig shielded the ball from the defender and back healed it to Brandon who lobbed the keeper, to put us 2-1 up. Keyworth though at times attacked well but Jaydan made some good saves from the shots. They did find an equaliser before Suarez made it 3-2 with a great solo effort, from a Keyworth corner, which Eastwood cleared up to Suarez on the left and from they he ran half the pitch on his own after a quick break catching Keyworth out. He beat 2 players and finished into the bottom corner with a great shot.

3-2 at half time and our heads were up.

Second half saw some great football played by Eastwood, winning a number of corners and at times it seemed like Keyworth had 11 or 12 players all in their own box. Suarez made it 4-2 before Keyworth pulled a goal back at 4-3. It started to get a bit panicky at the back at times, but both Ethan and Jack stood firm and Will "Doddsy" pulling off super saves. Craig who was playing and thinking as a team player today, was playing great balls out to the wings, playing through balls to Josh who was unlucky not to get a goal himself, and linking up well with Callum and Suarez. Eastwood's 5th goal came when Craig twisted and tricked his way through into the box, and just when everyone including myself thought he had done too much or thought he was going to knock it across the box, he fooled everyone and dinked it in at the near post. Cameron had a goal chalked off for offside after Josh threw the ball into the box from a thrown in, Craig headed onto Cam and he knocked it in the net, but he was deemed offside. Keyworth made it 5-4 before Suarez was brought down for a free kick. He got up and took the free kick and what a kick it was, inch perfect just under the bar, top corner, keeper just couldn't quite get to it, and that was his second hat-trick in 2 games. The game ended 6-4 to Eastwood, and the boys were so excited to win again, a great performance from everyone.

Parent's Player was won by Jack and Manager's Player was Craig. Well done boys, same again next week.
