Today the lads came with the right attitude, listened and worked hard.

ECFC were out for revenge over Trowell who beat them 4-2 away in a pre-season friendly when we were just starting out, although we were at the time the better team on the day and had a hat full of chances against them but failed to put them away. Today though was a different story, we dominated them for 15-20 mins and had chances to score. Brandon opened the scoring with a great goal when he was played through and shot past the keeper. It was long before ECFC made it 2-0 when a nice twisting run from Suarez got him into the box and he squared the ball across the goal for Josh to smash home.

Ethan and Jack were solid once again at the back and when the Trowell forwards did manage to squeeze through our defence Jaydan came to the rescue with some super saves. Cam and Liam in the middle worked hard and Craig was linking up well up front, playing some great balls into team mates.

2-0 at half time.

The second half was more of the same, a wave of attacks from Eastwood and some nice play between Callum up front playing balls out to Suarez on the wing. Callum made it 3-0 after a few minutes of being under pressure in our defence, fantastic saves from Doddsy who is improving week in week out, as are everyone. A great save from Doddsy led to some great control from Suarez who turned and played a ball into Craig who played it through for Callum to run onto and shoot past the keeper. We then won a free kick on the far side, which Craig took and it hit the top corner of the net to make it 4-0. Suarez won a free kick when his quick feet beat the defender only to be tripped up, he took the kick but it went wide. Cam was frustrated when he went through with only the keeper to beat only for his shot to rebound off the bar. He also had free that just went wide of the post. Trowell did manage to get and goal back before the end of the game.

The game finished 4-1 to Eastwood. A great team performance today and I was pleased to see everyone working hard for each other. Well done boys, keep it going and keep the good attitude going and you will be rewarded with the trophies coming back.
