What a game today, I must say I think this was the best I've seen the boys play.

First half we really took the game to them and played some fantastic football, the passing and moving, communication was spot on. We really piled on the pressure and had a number of chances to take the lead through Callum, Craig, Cameron a to name a few, but we found their keeper in top form. It was against the run of play though when Nathan dived in at the Bridgford player's feet and missed the tackle and the player skipped round him through on goal and his shot slipped past Doddsy in goal. Apart from that though Nathan and Ethan gad been awesome at the back and had been so solid, the few chance Bridgford had Doddsy was equal too or they went wide.

1-0 at half time.

The second half saw more and more pressure on the Bridgford defence and their keeper was called into action on many occasions. Craig on another day could of had 5 or 6 goals. On one of the few occasions they broke and got a shot at our goal Jaydan pulled off a fantastic save which was then cleared by Jack. Craig was given a free roll today and I think he really stepped up to the challenge, playing his team mates in fir chances at goal, getting back and helping his midfield and defence too. It was from one of his corners that Eastwood got an equaliser, when he found Cameron at the back post, right on his head for him to nod home. Eastwood with their heads up then found the winning goal when Brandon lobbed the keeper from one of our many corners. With 3 mins remaining we kept going hoping for the final whistle to come. Ethan and Jack stayed strong, with Jack even making some good forward runs. Josh put in a great captain's performance today too. Liam as always running the wing brilliantly in the first half. Lewis and Matt working well alongside Nathan in the middle. It was a great team performance today and it we showed just how resilient we can be. Parent's Player was Ethan and Manager's went jointly to Craig and Brandon who were sensational today. Well done boys, so proud of you all and we finish the first half of the season in 5th place, no one around us can take that from us, brilliant for our first season, let's take this now into the cup next week. Also well done Jaydan on putting on a brave face and playing really well considering you didn't feel well.
