Eastwood made it back to back wins with a comfortable home victory against local rivals Heanor.

Eastwood went in to Friday's game unbeaten since their last meeting with Heanor way back in October.

Eastwood were without Leyton Nethercot (injured) and Derby County Academy trialist Kieran Knight, so in came Callum Clarke for his first appearance of the season and Isaac Rose who made his first start for the club, Tom Coupe also returned from injury to have a place on the bench.

The home side started the better, Tremaine Freestone shooting just wide of the goal with ten minutes played. Two minutes later it was the Eastwood number nine with his head in his hands again as Freestone volleyed over from six yards out.

Eastwood keeper Dylan Miles was called in to action to pull off a smart save from a long range Heanor shot.

Tawanda Mushambi was forced off injured early on he was replaced by Tom Coupe who soon had the ball in the back of the net but the goal was ruled out for a debateable foul on the Heanor defender.

The deadlock was broken on seventy-one minutes when Steven Beejer tried his luck from thirty yards out his powerful angled shot found its way into the keepers left hand corner 1-0 Eastwood.

Heanor were rattled at this point and you could tell there players were getting frustrated, as Eastwood closed down every pass and kept the away side far away as possible from the Eastwood goal.

Two goals in as many minutes sealed the win for Eastwood, first Steven Beejer corner bobbled around for abit before being poked into the net by Tremaine Freestone, then superb strength from Beejer saw him brought down in the area, Callum Clarke stepped up to slot the spot kick straight down the middle for 3-0.

FT ECFC U21 3-0 Heanor Town U21

Fully deserved win for Eastwood who played very well despite missing a couple of big players. Eastwood defended superbly throughout the whole game; won their arial battles very well and played some nice football at times. The midfield three of Beejer, Reid and Fraser were very effective and positive when they were on the ball, Ochi Fraser causing Heanor's back line problems all night with his direct running and quality to beat a man one on one. Quick mention for Tom Coupe who returned from injury tonight after breaking his arm in October for the Reserves, really nice to get Coupe back out on the field.

SOP (Stand Out Players)
- Josh Rafferty, excellent game from Raff, a lad who has been starved of minutes for the Reserves but put in a real shift tonight and i'm sure will be knocking on the door of the Reserves starting eleven very soon.
-Isaac Rose, first start for Isaac who showed good composure on the ball and defended well to help Eastwood earn a clean sheet.
-Steven Beejer, started on the left hand side of midfield tonight and showed his versatility putting in a fine display, the seventeen year old is strong, quick and good with his feet and had a hand in all three of his teams goals another one from the academy coming through certainly one to watch.
