Jay was part of several Under 21 players that put pen to paper on first team forms in the summer of 2021 as Jepson looked to give the youth a chance. Stand out performances for the Under 21’s including a brace and man of the match performance in the Spring Cup Plate Final earned Jay a place in the squad for the 2021/22 campaign.

Crumbie debuted in the FA Cup vs Worksop Town (a) 25th August 2021 in a game where the Red Badgers were massive underdogs but managed to come away from the day with a draw.

In order to gain experience and more regular playing time Crumbie was loaned out to Linby for the month of October 2021.
