The experienced centre half has played at Long Eaton for five seasons making over 140 starts in the process. Captaining the side to the UCL North Division title. He then joined Newark where he captained them to County Cup success defeating Carlton Town at Coronation Park just under a month ago.
The defender is a serious aerial threat and composed on the ball. Graham also has an eye for goal, which helped him win the Non-League ‘goal of the season' in 2012 after he won the ball in his own half, dribbled past five players and hit the ball in off the post.
A huge addition to the Red Badgers defence, the words of joint boss Martin Ball:
“Romaine was the first player we met and spoke to about next season, and was our number 1 target to lead our defence so obviously we are delighted we managed to secure him for next season. He’s very well known at this level and even more so at levels above this, and will bring experience and calmness into the team. He can play, is quick and talks really well. He will be another in dressing room we can trust to lead the younger lads and gives us that balance and a voice that was lacking last year. He will be just as important off the pitch as he is on it for us, and we’re looking forward to working with him again.”
Welcome Rom!
