Eastwood CFC are delighted to confirm that after fighting off competition from an array of clubs, we have agreed the signing of highly-rated striker Tyler Blake from Carlton Town.
The 25-year-old arrives at the Halbrooke Stadium having spent over six years with the millers appearing over one-hundred times scoring fifty-one goals.
Tyler’s physicality and athleticism are a major part of his game – as well as his rapid pace that allows him to beat his man with ease. Tyler began his footballing journey at Mansfield Town before loan moves for Mickleover Sports and Frickley Athletic. A move to Carlton Town in 2017 followed where the forward has been ever since. Blake had a spell on loan at fellow UCL side AFC Mansfield before Christmas scoring in wins against Leicester Nirvana, Easington Sports and also scoring the in a 1-1 draw with Kimberley Miners Welfare.
We are over the moon that he has chosen to join us here at Eastwood CFC and will be catching up with him shortly to discuss the move.
Tyler reunite’s with former team mates; Martin Ball, Daryll Thomas, Kamani Wilson and Ryan Tait amongst others.
Martin Ball added: “When we first got the job Tyler was always somebody we wanted to sign, but was probably more of a target for next season so when we knew he might be available it was a no brainer for us. He’s a natural goal scorer and exactly the type of striker we want. He holds the ball up well, works hard off the ball and will always score goals. In my mind he’s a step 4 or 3 striker, so for us to get him to Eastwood shows what we’re about.”
“He knows how much DT and myself rate him and we have no doubt he will deliver what we need to make this club successful.”
Blake will hope to make his debut in another huge match for the Red Badgers this Saturday when we welcome local rivals Selston FC to the Halbrooke Stadium.
