Despite three matches falling foul of the conditions, the five remaining fixtures in the Black Dragon Badges South division produced 28 goals.

Eastwood Community slipped up at home, going down 2-0 to Matlock Town Reserves with the Gladiators’ goals coming from Dec Jenkins and Matt Wilkinson.

The four sides chasing them all picked up maximum points. Belper United saw off basement side Southwell City 7-0 at Christchurch Meadow. Matthew Brittle, Ben Stockley and Dean Oliver all struck twice, Sam Vickers also on target as Belper closed the gap at the top to two points with four games in hand.

Selston roared back from last week’s League Cup defeat, inflicting a 7-1 home defeat on Bulwell. Ben Moore opened the scoring for the visitors, Conor Carter equalising for Bulwell. This was the home side’s high point however as they went down to ten men before Joe Riley restored the advantage five minutes from half time. Selston ran away with it after the break, Tom Widdowson, Sean Gregory, Riley with his second, Jamie Renshaw and an own goal completing the scoring.

Hucknall Rolls hit six without reply against Keyworth United. Chay Betteridge hit two with the others shared between Kyle McDermott, Danny Hayes, Jack Patterson and Harry Allen.
The closest game was at Debdale Park, where two Julian Topliss goals gave Sherwood Colliery a 3-2 win over Clay Cross Town.
