Declan Dunn a talented twenty-three year old who started his football journey at Notts County. Dunn joined the youth-team at Notts at under-10 level. He made his senior debut for the "Magpies" on the 10th November 2018 one month after his 18th birthday, coming on as an 82nd-minute substitute for Cedric Evina in a 4–0 defeat at Barnsley in the FA Cup. He signed his first professional contract at Meadow Lane nine days later but was released two years after. Before leaving Dunn had a short loan spell at Grantham Town before moving to Basford permanently. The midfielder spent three years at Greenwich Avenue which included a return back to Grantham Town on loan. Declan left last summer and spent the 2023/24 season at Belper Town helping the Nailers to a sixth place finish. Despite almost being nailed on for a play off place in February two wins from the final two months of the season meant the Yellows missed out on a play off spot by five points.
Dunn will join Jermain Hollis, Daniel Elliott and Lynden Joyce who will all be fighting it out for a spot in the midfield. Dunn will be available to face his former club tomorrow night so make sure to pop down and see what he has to offer.
Welcome to the club, Dunny!
