The Nottingham born centre forward brings a wealth of experience having most recently played for Newark Flowserve, Ben also boasts the likes of Middlesbrough, Swindon Town and Lincoln City amongst his former clubs.

“Hutch” who starred in yesterday’s 6-0 victory scoring a hattrick and set up a goal as well as being awarded man of the match.

The gaffer had this to say “He’s a brilliant signing for us, I can’t take any credit I must admit, Carl (Westcarr) knows him, knew he was available and we got our man so credit to Carl (Westcarr).”

“ Hutch (Hutchinson) has been first class in training, games and led by example, it’s not everyday you get to sign players like Ben (Hutchinson) he is a winner, very talented and I believe he will take us to the next level.”

“ I like how he operates, he’s played & scored in the Premier League for Middlesbrough and also played in the Champions League for Celtic but he’s helping 2T (Boafo) with the academy giving advice to the clubs young players which is voluntary so it says alot about the man.”

“ A statement for us that he’s here and I’d like to thank him for buying into what we are trying to do here.”

Speaking to Ben himself the striker had this to say; What made you sign for the club?

I played at Eastwood as a 16 year old in the academy and reserves so I have been here before. Its a great club and I want to see it progressing to where it used to be. Also I have a alot of friends at the club who I have either played with before. I grew up in the same area as Carl westcarr so he was a big influence to in me coming.

What is your ambition personally and for the team this season?

My ambition is to help the team in anyway possible whether that be scoring goals, creating goals, and if I'm not playing helping the younger players progress with advice and encouragement. Main aim is to challenge for the title if we don't all want to try and win it I don't see the point in playing. I know the manager and playing staff all have high standards so I don't think that will be an issue. I know it's a new league for the club but I think we have enough in the changing room to cause a big surprise.
