A welcome return to league action after last Saturday’s 112 mile round trip to Yaxley in the league cup. Ball & Thomas will be keen to maintain their unbeaten run at home in the league with the visit of strugglers Wisbech Town.
Wisbech haven’t made the best of starts, no wins from their opening eight in the league and they have already exited the FA Cup, FA Vase and the League Cup. The only point collected this season was on the road earning a 1-1 draw at Sleaford Town. However from home it is just one win from fifteen in all competitions dating back to last December.
Player Watch: Elliott Foster was Deeping Rangers second top goal scorer last campaign and made the switch to Wisbech last month getting off to a great start, scoring three in his first five. Another striker to keep an eye on is Toby Allen who netted 21 goals last season to help keep Wisbech in the division.
Previous Meetings: Wisbech last visit to Coronation Park ended in defeat an Alex Troke brace and Aaron O’Connor strike was enough as Eastwood ran out winners in a five goal thriller. The fixture between the two sides guarantees goals, nineteen goals in four games to be exact, with neither side being able to keep a clean sheet.
Squad Update: Jermain Hollis remains a doubt, Aaron O’Connor, Riece Bertram, Rickey Starbuck and Daniel Elliott are all ruled out. Teenager Toby Woodward is set to start his second game of the season after an impressive cameo last Saturday. Ryan Tait and Billy Bennett are both available for selection.
