Our run of four straight wins came to an end on Tuesday night despite having fifteen more shots than our opponents Harrowby United were clinical in front of goal as we went down 2-0.
This afternoon’s visitors also suffered a disappointing result on Tueasday night going down 4-1 at the hands of Belper United at Coronation Park.
Previous meetings: Seven weeks ago today Eastwood beat Melton 3-1 to progress in the League Knockout Cup that win was just the second victory over the Pork Pies in our last seven meetings and the first win at Coronation Park since March 2022.
Player Watch: Striker Liam Read leads the way for goals, finding the net on seven occasions this season. Last season the forward bagged double figures for step 4 side Hinckley Leicester Road. Former Ashby Ivanhoe midfielder Will Groocock now lines up for Lutterworth after making over 100 appearances for Ivanhoe the playmaker made the switch in the summer. Goalkeeper Luke Jeffery has kept five clean sheets in fourteen matches helping his team to boast the second best defensive record in the division.
Squad Update: Competition for places heats up as players start to return from injury, with Tyler Johal, Ryan Tait and Toby Woodward all set to be available for Saturday’s clash. Finnley Commons has also returned to the club and is available for selection following a short spell at Basford United. Declan Dunn and Jake Wright both hope to brush off knocks that forced them off in the defeat to Melton Town.
