MATCH PREVIEW - Tuesday 25th November 2025

Zander Shayler25 Nov 2025 - 12:00

The games are coming thick and fast and they don’t get any easier as we visit in-form Grantham Town tonight.

The Red Badgers put on one of the best performances of the season on Saturday and were very unfortunate to come away with just a point as they held league leaders Boston Town to a 1-1 draw at Coronation Park. Boss Willis Francis is keen to take that performance into tonight’s game against a Grantham Town side that haven’t lost at home in the league this season.

Only Sherwood Colliery have picked up more points than Grantham Town since September with the Ginger Breads winning seven of their last eight in all competitions taking ten points from a possible twelve in the league and progressing in the League Cup, Lincolnshire Senior Cup and the FA Vase.

Previous meetings: Tonight’s matchup will be the first between the two clubs. With Grantham Town predominately playing their football at Step 3 & 4 while Eastwood CFC have been on the rise from Step 7. The last meeting between Grantham Town and Eastwood Town that took place at The Meres was on New Years Day 2013 where the hosts ran out 4-0 winners as both clubs were relegated from NPL Premier Division.

Player Watch: Former Red Badgers winger is quickly becoming a fan favourite at Grantham, Terry Atem has started all 16 of his appearances this season netting eight times. Striker Cameron Johnson leads the way for goals having netted ten goals in just nine appearances. Last season’s goalkeeper of the season Jack Steggles made the switch from Lincoln United in the summer and has been ever present for Grantham Town keeping seven clean sheets in his nine-teen appearances and has helped his side to a penalty shoot-out win to progress in the FA Vase.

Squad Update: Willis Francis will be wanting to make as few changes as possible but has a few injury concerns, Tyler Blake and Tony Gbopo were both forced off with injuries on Saturday and could miss tonight. Nyle Blake is unlikely to feature as Anstey Nomads face Carlton Town.
