The Red Badgers earned a replay thanks to a brace from 41-year-old captain Aaron O’Connor who levelled the game in the 53rd minute and 94th minute to keep our Wembley hopes alive.
Rovers have won just two of their last ten at home failing to keep a clean sheet in any competition since last December.
Previous meetings: In the last match up away from home Eastwood secured their first ever victory against the Moat Men winning 3-2 at The Moat Ground, Tyler Blake, Aaron O’Connor and Oliver Robinson all on target in the first period before Phil Watt’s dismissal in the 55th minute made it hard work for the remaining half an hour. A fixture that offers a certainty of goals with nine-teen scored in the last five matches. Those goal have been split by;
Steven Hart x5
Jenson Cooper x3
Aaron O’Connor x3
Tyler Blake x2
Jude Ayetine x1
Louis Czerwak x1
Liam Kavanagh x1
Kane Lee x1
McKenna Parton x1
Oliver Robinson x1
Player Watch: Frontmen Sam Moore and Jenson Cooper both performed well off the bench on Saturday with the duo expected to start on Tuesday night. The pair have netted ten goals in their last six starts together. Shot stopper Bradley Catlow is undefeated against the Red Badgers (one draw with Gresley, two wins with Ashby Ivanhoe.)
Squad Update: Martin Ball is back in the dugout and Jake Wright is back from suspension. Sam Wilson is set to return in goal, whilst Lavell White, Elijah Morris-Wright and Alfie Flynn all played well coming off the bench on Saturday and will be pushing for their first starts of the season. It is uncertain whether Tyler Blake will return tomorrow evening but the skipper will lead the line once again hoping to add to his three goals in his last two appearances against Rovers, a goal tomorrow night would see him surpass Sam Moore as the club’s all time top goal scorer in the FA Cup.
