The Red Badgers travel to Staffordshire aiming to progress to the First Round Qualifying of the FA Cup for the first time in their history. Previously we have fell short at this stage in 2021/22 we exited the competition after a 5-2 Replay defeat to Worksop Town and more recently two seasons ago narrowly lost out 2-1 against Anstey Nomads.

Coton Green who were successful in the Midland Football League Division 1 play off’s to earn them promotion to step 5 are tipped to do well again this campaign. They secured a 2-1 win over higher league opposition in the shape of Rugby Town in the previous round and earned their first league win of the season on Tuesday with an impressive 5-2 win over Romulus,

Squad Update:

Sam Wilson is banned following his red card last Saturday, and with Sam Tyler out on loan, Jonathan Hedge comes in to take the number 1 spot. Hedge who played over 40 games for Retford United last season arrives with a great pedigree having represented the likes of Halifax Town & Cambridge United. Meanwhile, defenders Abdul Saad and Harvey Ridgley have shook off injuries that ruled them out of the win over Sherwood Colliery and are both fit and available. Kameron Campbell and Daniel Elliott remain sidelined.
