In a competitive hard fought game Eastwood game away with the all important 3 points.

Kelvin Mushambi returned to the starting eleven from Eastwood midweek cup win against South Normanton replacing Harry Allen with James Hallam reverting to the central strikers role.

Jack Smith had Eastwood first strike at goal with a direct free kick from 20 yards but failed to work the home keeper. Smith was again involved 2 minutes later but his misplaced pass but his defence in trouble but Billy Brooks was on hand to cover the danger.

Eastwood took the lead on 9 minutes after a short corner Paddy Webb deep in swinging cross from the right flank curled into the far corner of the net.Mickleover responded forcing Jack Walker into a smart save direct from a free kick. Mickleover next chance was created by the impressive Lamina who broke clear with a good run and cross across Eastwood six yard box. Against the run of play Eastwood doubled their lead on 24 minutes. After neat build up play Paddy Webb was played clear down the right wing and Webb provided a pin point cross for James Hallam to head home.Getting the second goal settled Eastwood down and they enjoyed more possession of the ball for the rest of the half.

At the start of the second half Walker was called into action in the early stages.First saving a Lamina header and then turning Sleigh effort around his post. At the other end Jack Smith broke clear but was brought down on the edge of the area.From the resulting free kick Webb effort was comfortably saved by the keeper.

Eastwood had 2 great chances to secure the points.Webb put Hallam through on goal but his effort was well saved by the keeper and then 5 minutes later Webb also got clear through on goal but again the home keeper produced a smart one handed save. In the dying minutes Eastwood added a third goal. Kane Mathews worked himself space inside the area and seemed to be fouled. With Eastwood appealing for a penalty Rory Smith latched onto the loose ball to finish from close range.
