Nick Wain will be fulfilling his internship as Sports Analyst for the Club.

The Club are delighted to welcome Nick who will be joining us on Monday 19th August for his placement which will run for forty weeks. Nick is a 3rd year University student from Nottingham, studying Sports and Exercise Science at Hartpury University in Gloucester.

When we spoke to him he said; "I have a great passion and enthusiasm for football and hope to provide specialist discipline involving systematic observations to enhance player performance. I have an exciting background of playing history from playing in the 1st round proper of the FA youth cup against Accrington Stanley with Basford United, beating teams like Port Vale and Mansfield Town, I also played for Eastwood CFC Senior 1st Team and Development sides. My placement with Eastwood Community Football Club is Performance Analysis, this will entail primarily working with the boys and girls Academy but also some work with the senior development team and senior 1st team. I will be observing and filming sporting performance, coding matches. Providing individual and team Analysis and liaising with coaches and managers.

I hope to gain many new skills whilst working at Eastwood Community FC, further my knowledge of performance analysis and gain vital footballing experience that will hopefully allow me to keep climbing up the ladder for better opportunities in the future of my profession.

Eastwood was an easy choice for me as a football placement. Although ECFC has only been going since 2014 they have already made a substantial impact on Nottinghamshire football. From having a boys and a girls academy college course and offering a university degree for sport. Eastwood is also home to Nottingham Forest ladies and host many charity football matches for great causes. I look forward to starting my placement with Eastwood and making an impact that will see young players greatly improve as players".

Jamie Bennett, Chairman of ECFC commented saying "Nick will be working with all junior teams in the club from our Under 7 through to our elite Under 16 team, filming games analysing team and individual performance which will be a great benefit to team and individual players at the club".
