Over the past few months, since stepping into the role of Chairman at Eastwood Football Club, it has become clear that there is significantly more work required to take the club where it needs to go.

Following a number of open and honest conversations, both myself and Lee Wood agreed on what we believe is the best long-term decision for the future of the club.

As a result, I can confirm that I, Ben Edwards, alongside BE Group, have taken full ownership of Eastwood Football Club.

I want to personally thank Lee for his time, effort, and commitment to the club. His contribution has been important, and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavours.

As we move into this next chapter, I’m pleased to confirm that Steve Kirkham has been appointed as Managing Director of the club and will lead Eastwood forward both on and off the pitch. Steve has already played a key role in supporting the club in recent months.

Many of you will have noticed a mix of new and familiar faces in and around the club in recent weeks. This forms part of a wider plan to put a strong leadership structure in place to support the club’s long-term growth and success.

Sarah Robertson and Emily Harvey join the club’s leadership team, alongside Zander Shayler who continues in his role, with Paul Bullock also returning to support the wider operation.

On the football side, the First Team will continue to be managed by Willis Francis and Mark Clarke, with Lewis McGugan leading the academy setup.

As part of the club’s commitment to developing the next generation, the club will be providing match kits across the junior sections this season, alongside a number of improvements around the ground to enhance the overall experience for players, supporters, and the wider community.

Our focus now is simple: to bring fresh energy, clear direction, and long-term structure to Eastwood — both on and off the pitch.

Work is already underway across multiple areas of the club, and we look forward to sharing more with you soon.

Most importantly, we ask for your continued support — for the players, the staff, and the club as a whole — as we enter this next chapter together.
