Eastwood Football Club can confirm the arrival of the club's new minibus.
While it's a simple addition on the surface, it represents another important step in building the right foundations around the club.
The minibus will support academy transport, matchday operations, and community projects — including charity work alongside HomelessFC to help those experiencing homelessness access football and connect with the club.
Lewis McGugan, former Nottingham Forest midfielder and Academy Manager at Eastwood FC, said: "Having our own minibus is a huge benefit to the academy programme. It not only allows us to travel to fixtures more efficiently, but also gives us greater flexibility when organising off-campus enrichment activities for our students. With the continued support from the football club, we are committed to creating the best possible environment and facilities for all academy students."
Sarah Robertson, Chief Operating & Impact Officer at BE Group, who leads the club's community and charity initiatives including the partnership with HomelessFC, added: "We're proud to be working alongside HomelessFC. This isn't just about football — it's about building something that genuinely serves the community. The more clubs that think this way, the better."
Since taking over, one thing has become clear: sustainable football clubs are built on far more than 90 minutes on a Saturday. Strong operations, better facilities, and reliable infrastructure matter — and so does creating an environment that properly supports players, supporters, and the wider community.
This is another step in that process. There's a lot more to come.
