With injuries to Tyler Blake, Aaron O’Connor and most recently Alex Troke, Martin Ball and Daryll Thomas have acted quickly to bring in a top replacement.
Craig Westcarr whose brothers Jarrod and Carl have history at Coronation Park, Jarrod lining up for the Badgers in 2011/12 season whilst Carl has been involved more recently as a player assistant manager to James Jepson. Craig however joins from Clay Cross Town after making the switch from Sherwood Colliery in the summer. At Sherwood, Westy netted thirty-three goals in forty-eight appearances on his way to helping the team earn their first ever promotion to step 4. Only Sam Grouse scored more goals in the league last season than Westcarr who was part of a side that scored more goals home and away than any other side in the division.
Before joining Sherwood Craig had an impressive two season spell at Hucknall Town scoring over fifty goals in under seventy appearances. The veteran striker has an incredible CV listing Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Chesterfield and Mansfield Town as just a few teams he has played for in a brilliant career
