Eastwood CFC 3-1 Ingles

After rescuing a point on Monday against neighbours Hucknall Town, gaffer James Jepson demanded a response off the lads and that's what he got...…………

The gaffer made four changes from Monday's draw, Will Heath and Ross Parker returned from injury to replace the injured Connor Wrenn and Matt Robinson. Carl Westcarr made his first start of the season, while Jack James returned from holiday to come back in the side. Rob Mulonga and Kieren Watson joined the injured list, Kyle Wrenn is serving his second game of his three match ban.

Eastwood started well Callum McGarry and Sam Meakin both looking incredibly dangerous down the wings. It was Meakin who assisted the first goal a great piece of skill saw him beat his man before wiping the ball across for Webb to poke home.

Ingles soaked up barrage of attacks as McGarry and Meakin continued to be a nuisance for the opposition, Eastwood couldn't find that elusive second goal.

Ingles came back in to the game after the break beginning to cause Eastwood some problems, however the introduction of Joe Harrison had an immediate impact his pass setting up Patrick Webb for his and Eastwood's second of the match. At 2-0 Eastwood looked comfortable but as in previous weeks, Eastwood gifted the opposition a goal and allowed the back in the game, 2-1.

A nervy final three minutes saw Ingles hit the bar but the three points where sealed when a wind assisted corner from Kieran Harrison bounced off the far post falling kindly at the feet of Patrick Webb who made no mistake in smashing home for his hattrick.

Despite having a relatively slow start to the season Webb is now joint top scorer for the club and second in the league.
