The Red Badgers suffered back to back defeats for the first time since October as Willis Francis unbeaten home record comes to an end.

The boss made four changes from the side that started the abandoned game with Hucknall Town. Callum Cocks and Kieran Hayes officially debuted, Tony Gbopo, Terry Hawkridge and Tyler Blake all start. Joel Stevens, Neo Saunders and Alfie Flynn drop to the bench. Logan Dimmock-Fox returned to Radford earlier this week.

AFC Mansfield came flying out of the blocks, Jacob Dainty putting the visitors ahead after seventeen minutes.

The Red Badgers did come back into the game but as they looked to finish the half strongly Kian Sketchley doubled Mansfield’s lead on the stroke of half time.

Willis Francis shuffled the pack during the break, replacing Terry Hawkridge and Callum Cocks with Alfie Flynn and Joel Stevens but to little affect as Eastwood huffed and puffed but never really troubled Mansfield.

Eastwood managed just one shot on target in the second period of the match as AFC Mansfield left Coronation Park with all three points for the first time.
